The most important journey whilst getting a tattoo is not the tattoo itself, the healing process is key to ensure your tattoo stays fresh and vibrant.
The First Day
Once your tattoo session is finished, we will apply a thin layer of Vaseline and cover the tattoo with clingfilm to keep it safe. You will keep this on for 3 hours or until you are home. When you take the clingfilm off you wash the tattoo by running warm water over the tattoo. You pat this dry with kitchen roll and apply a tattoo safe ointment (either coconut oil or tattoo balm like Ink Doctor tattoo balm, works best). I will offer a tattoo aftercare sheet to remind you of all processes to keep your tattoo healthy.
Healing Process
Tattoo's take two weeks to heal. During this time, you will wash the tattoo 2-3 times a day and then apply your tattoo safe ointment. During the healing period, we would advise you do not go to the gym, no swimming or baths, no sun exposure and to keep away from animals. ​

All tattoo's heal differently, however if you have any questions regarding your tattoo whilst it is healing, or after it has healed, you are always welcome to ask me any questions regarding your tattoo. ​
